On behalf of the members of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) South East Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi States she made these remarks during our MAN AGM Awards, a ceremony that beautifully coincided with the 60th birthday of Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, OFR.

As he was called forward to receive his honour, your extraordinary accomplishments also earned United Nigeria Airlines the “Airline of the People Award (Fair Cargo Charges & Human-Centric Service)” conferred by MAN South East — an award received on the very day of your 60th birthday. Such a moment is rare and meaningful; I believe it was divinely orchestrated by Almighty God as a seal upon a life of purpose, excellence and service.

He was fittingly described as a man of vision, courage, exceptional intellect and deep humanity.

Prof. Okonkwo, Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines Company Ltd, is a distinguished scholar, entrepreneur, aviation pioneer and national figure. His intellectual depth, business innovation and philanthropy continue to inspire and shape national conversation. With an outstanding academic pedigree and exemplary leadership across sub-Saharan Africa, he stands today as one of Nigeria’s most respected contemporary voices.

At 60, I dare say you are only halfway along your God-ordained journey. Your achievements in politics, business, aviation, academia and community service are numerous and widely celebrated.

I pray that the Most High God grants you continued strength, wisdom and serenity as you carry out your divine assignment whilst it is yet day.
