ONITSHA NORTH MAYOR HAILS WORKFORCE IN WORKERS’ DAY TRIBUTE

While marking the International Workers’ Day, Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, Mayor of Onitsha North Local Government Area, paid tribute to the dedication and diligence of the council’s workforce.Addressing municipal employees from street cleaners who maintain the city’s cleanliness to administrative staff who keep government offices running, Mayor Nwora lauded their “labour of love” and assured them that their contributions will never go unnoticed.“As the premier public servant in Onitsha North, I renew my steadfast commitment to ensuring our council operations serve every law-abiding resident,” the Mayor declared.He emphasised that good governance depends on a motivated and well-supported workforce, and pledged to enhance workers’ welfare and improve the environment in which they carry out their duties.Mayor Nwora also praised the strong, collaborative relationship between the local government and its employees, describing it as “harmonious and cordial.” He encouraged workers to sustain and even intensify their efforts toward driving Onitsha North, Anambra State, and the nation to enviable heights.The Mayor also extended congratulations to all workers in Onitsha North on International Workers’ Day, and offered warm wishes to every resident as the new month of May begins, forecasting that it will be far better than the months gone by.
